Dads Need Not Apply At ‘Funniest Moms’ Competition

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you’re a Mom who would rather crack jokes than clean house, you may soon have your chance.

From now until December 14, moms from across the United States will have a chance to show their silly side and audition for the Nick at Nite reality show, Funniest Moms In America.

Moms can audition online but producers will also be combing comedy clubs across the U.S. starting Monday (Nov. 6) in Los Angeles.

Producer Allison Grodner says it doesn’t matter if “you’re a single mom or married mom, or even a grandma – you just have to be funny.”

The moms can even incorporate their kid into their act if they want to go onstage too – but potty mouths can stay at home.

Says Grodner: We’re looking for edgy comedy, but no obscenities please.”

And she stresses that it’s all about moms – dads need not apply.

As she puts it, “We might have to start doing background checks to see if anyone’s really a dad in a wig trying to get on the show.”
