Fine Wine Is The Only Indulgence In Robert Plant’s Dressing Room

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You wont find handles of vodka or joints in Robert Plant’s dressing room anymore – but you will find some grade A wine.

That’s according to director Joe Thomas, who spent six months following the rock legend around before filming the new DVD, Robert Plant And The Strange Sensation.

Thomas says the rocker was more “Oxford intellectual” than rock star when it came to dressing room demands.

As he puts it, “It was all foods from the Far East and organic – the only indulgence was a well-researched wine.”

And, he claims, the food wasn’t the only thing organic about Plant.

Thomas admits when the two had their first business meeting, it was outside and Plant was “wearing a blanket.”

Says Thomas: “It was like something out of “Stairway to Heaven” – I thought Pan the flute boy was going to jump out and start playing at any moment – it was very medieval.”
