Ex-Gothpunk Hero Glen Danzig Gets Sick Pleasure From His Dolls

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Shock rocker Glen Danzig says he’s thrilled to have a line of toy dolls created in his image – mainly because it’s revenge on the magazine that ignored him for years – Rolling Stone.

The former leader of Gothpunk icons the Misfits now has blessed a limited edition line of three toy figures called the ‘‘3 Faces of Danzig.”

The collection of dolls dressed in different outfits from different phases of the rocker’s career retail for $75 bucks apiece, and are available at such popular gift shops as Hot Topic and Spencer Gifts.

Danzig sees the dolls as “a slap in the face to Rolling Stone, who tried so hard to ignore punk rock and the dark metal bands back in the day.”

He says that creating dolls in his image is, “hilarious – taking meetings where I say things like, ‘Fix the blood stains on this one,’ or ‘the belt buckle’s too big on the that one.”’
