‘Survivor’ Castoff Learns From Internet – Up To A Point

OAKLAND, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You can learn anything from the internet – even how to play Survivor.

That’s what the show’s most recent castoff thought before she was kicked off this past Thursday (Sept. 28).

Cecilia Mansilla says she might have been kicked off even earlier if she hadn’t prepared by reading internet articles on Survivor strategy.

Mansilla admits: “I wasn’t a big fan of the show so I went on the internet trying to understand it.”

She learned a lot of helpful tips, including that flirting with your fellow castaways isn’t very effective.

However, in retrospect, she realizes she should’ve been pushier about forming alliances.

In her words, “I didn’t really go to bat for myself. I tried to talk with Jessica [Smith] but she told me she didn’t want to talk about the game part, so I thought, ‘Okay, let me get to know you so you’ll know I’m someone you can trust,’ but there just wasn’t enough time.”

But while Mansilla thanks all the Net nerds for their advice, she admits that when you’re out there away from civilization, “your needs change.”
