Thats what former real-life judge Maria Lopez discovered while filming her new syndicated series, Judge Maria Lopez.
She says that its a lot more fun being a TV judge, especially because the producers pick the cases based on their entertainment factor something that is not supposed to be considered by the actual judicial system.
As she puts it, TV cases are all about drama, conflict and immediate resolution.
There is another advantage: Being a TV judge means Lopez gets to spend a lot of time focusing on hair, makeup and wardrobe which she loves.
But while being a TV judge is infinitely more fun than being one in real life, some things are the same.
Lopez admits: Our robes are exactly the same.
Judge Maria Lopez debuts in syndication next Monday (Sept. 11).
