Survivor Now ‘Sur-LIVE-or’

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The rock group Survivor has been around for two decades but it’s only in the last few weeks that the guitarist is happy with the band’s live show.

Frankie Sullivan, who is also one of the band’s key songwriters, says the band has always had the songs, but he felt the concerts “could be pushed up about five notches.”

That is, until recently, when the group hired new lead singer Robin McAuley. Sullivan says he’s not only a good singer, he’s a good frontman who “really commands the stage.”

There’s another advantage that McAuley’s presence is adding. His vocal ability allows the band to play hits like “Eye Of The Tiger” in their original key.

As he puts it, “The last guy we had, we had to play the song four keys lower. Now, we’re back up to the key of C and the energy is better.”
