Celebrity DJ Tries To Be One Of The Crowd

BERLIN (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Celebrity DJ Paul Van Dyk may be the biggest dance music DJ in the world but he says the secret of his success is that he’s just one of the crowd.

As he puts it, “I don’t feel separated from the crowd. I think everyone knows that if I weren’t spinning discs, I’d be down there in the crowd.”

Van Dyk takes being part of the audience very seriously, which is why he never figures out what songs or beats he’s going to play in a gig.

In his words, “I have the first one or two tracks set but everything deals with the interaction. I look for smiles, happy faces and just feel the general vibes.”

Van Dyk plans to use that philosophy to the fullest on August 18 and 19 when he makes his fourth annual appearance in New York’s Central Park, which has become one of the most popular traditions in the ever-changing world of dance music.
