Menopausal Women Trading Hot Flashes For Power Surges

PHOENIX (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Menopausal women are trading their hot flashes for a power surge towards the Food and Drug Administration.

The FDA is currently considering a petition that will ban and regulate compound hormones for menopausal women – and that has ladies like Michelle Robson doing a little “hor- moaning” of their own.

Robson is asking women who need custom-made hormones to besiege the FDA with letters, e-mails and phone calls or, if they really want to send a message, empty prescription bottles and night sweat-soaked night gowns.

According to Robson, “not everyone can take off-the-shelf hormones” and she says until she started taking customized pills, she was so ill that she “couldn’t get out of bed and had a foggy brain.”

So far, 40,000 women have barraged the FDA and Robson says the fact that the organization hasn’t made a decision yet is a good sign.

Still, she figures every little bit helps and asks other women – and the men in their life – to moan to their elected officials about the situation.
