Thats what his daughter, Tamara Wilson, is hoping.
Shes currently in pre-production on a biographical film about her famous Dad, whose variety show was one of the most popular of the early 1970s.
Wilsons biggest character was the sassy black woman Geraldine, whose catch phrase, The devil made me do it, was all the rage.
But while Wilson was a TV pioneer, Tamara says he fell off the U.S. radar in the 1980s. Now, she admits, No one under 30 really knows who is.
She wants the proposed film to show how Wilson hit the big time and how he spent his later years touring the third world reading excerpts from Kahlil Gibrans The Prophet.
No word on when the proposed biopic will be released and Wilson admits it will be hard enough finding an actor who can play her Dad, not to mention his various characters.
