The Knack Gets Fixxed Up With Tommy Tutone

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Skinny ties could be making a comeback this summer thanks to a three-band ’80s revival featuring The Knack.

Starting May 27, the early ’80s band will be headlining the Rock N’ Roll Funhouse, which will also feature Reagan- era songsters The Fixx and Tommy Tutone.

Lead singer Doug Fieger thinks the new wave revival tour will strike a chord in old fans and the folks who only remember The Knack for “My Sharona” or Tommy Tutone by “867-5309 (Jenny).”

As he puts it, “We’re known best for one song and that song overshadows our other hits, but people get a great show.”

Fieger also gets a chance to hang out with the other bands and catch up on old times.

In his words, “I’ve known the guys in these bands for 20 years and have been touring with Tommy Tutone for eight and The Fixx for three or four.”

But fans expecting nothing but the ’80s should take note: The Knack plays lots of songs from its most recent albums, which he says are some of their best work.
