Cameron Bogue is a veteran mixologist from San Diego who thinks the main reason Smirnoffs judges picked him was not just his mastery of the classic cocktails, but his cutting edge knowledge of new drinks and mixes.
In Bogues words, Cocktail scenes in England and Asia have been ahead of Americas lately, and I think my drinks using new fruit mixes will help us keep up.
Bogue, however, refuses to engage in a media rivalry with Tanquerays dandy spokesman, Tony Sinclair, adding: I think he and I both have our really strong points.
Smirnoff will provide Bogue with a salary and budget equalling $100,000, in return for his reports on trendy new drinks and dining fads, plus availing himself to the media as a resource relating to cocktails.
