Homeschoolers Leave Their Houses to Attend Prom

DALLAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Everyone looks forward to prom in high school – even the students who are schooled at home.

That’s the case in Dallas, Texas, where the 7th annual Christian Homeschool Prom will be held this Friday (Apr. 28).

More than 800 home-schooled teenagers and their stay-at-home chaperones will be in attendance – so there’s no chance the dance will be in someone’s home.

According to organizer Christine Kinch, the prom is held at a Dallas hotel and many of the kids will be meeting each other for the first time – while in formal wear.

This year’s theme is Casablanca: We’ll Always Have Paris, so the kids will be dancing to songs other than “Alone Again Naturally” or “All By Myself.”
