World Almanac Jumping Into Record Books

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For many people, the Guinness Book Of World Records is the No. 1 source for human achievements, but now the World Almanac is jumping into the record books.

The company that makes the Almanac has just issued The World Almanac Book Of Records (World Almanac Books) and editor Ken Park believes there’s more than one way to record records.

Park says his record book is “more American in origin” than the Guinness Book, which is why there are 12 pages of basketball records as opposed to two.

In addition, Park says he made the editorial decision not to include records where Guinness is the only source, and he promises the World Almanac won’t be “holding events where records are set.”

However, he points out that his record book is the only one that mentions how 18 of Uranus’ 21 moons are named after Shakespearean characters.
