Unlimited Golf Simulation?: Priceless

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You have to give the videogame industry credit: now games are starting to accept credit cards.

The popular golf-oriented game, Golden Tee LIVE, has just become the first coin-operated game to accept credit card payments from players who don’t want to rummage through their pockets looking for spare change.

The software even discretely notifies virtual golfers if the credit card is rejected – so no one gets teed off while in the middle of a match.

Although the credit card option is new, a few people who follow the coin-operated industry are giving Golden Tee credit for the idea.

Nick Montano, a reporter for the arcade game trade publication Vending Time, says the credit card option “definitely” has potential to do well in the future since the technology has already swallowed up “food and beverage vending.”
