Real Life Therapist Makes Doll In His Image

NEWTON, Conn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Therapists find they repeat themselves over and over again, which is why one Connecticut- based marriage therapist has created a doll in his likeness that dispenses his advice.

Dr. Chuck Berke created his Ask Dr. Chuck doll after having to repeat himself one too many times.

The doll dispenses advice like, “You’re the finest combination of humility and self esteem I’ve ever seen,” and, “The last time someone had an ego like yours, they invaded Europe.”

Berke also had the doll made to look like him, which he says is, “an incredible tribute to narcissism.”

Dr. Chuck says he doesn’t advocate the doll to be used in lieu of real therapy because, as he puts it, “I don’t want to get thrown out of the union.”

But he says at least one of his patients took the doll on vacation with him and sent back a photo to prove he was still following the doctor’s advice.
