Orange Juice More Popular Than Beans In Boston

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Boston is known for its beans and Philadelphia is known for its cheesesteaks, but orange juice is actually more popular in both cities.

That’s one of the juicy findings in a new study by Tropicana, which reveals that the company’s orange juice is the No. 1 selling grocery item in Beantown and the City Of Brotherly Love.

Tropicana is also No. 1 in Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and, especially, New York City.

In fact, folks in the Big Apple really love their O.J..

Not only do they drink 50 percent more juice than the national average – the equivalent of 4 million oranges each day – but the city consumes more juice than Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. combined.

Finally, regardless of how much orange juice is consumed in each city, there is one common thread: 75 percent of all Americans prefer their O.J. to be pulp-free.
