2006 marks the 400th anniversary of the Dutch artists birth and the 250th anniversary for the classical composer, and a great number of tourists want to see some festivities.
Travel expert Steve Born of the Globus tour company is prepared for the increased interest in the artists, saying the destinations never change, just the reasons for visiting.
For instance, some tours of the Louvre museum in Paris and Vatican City now emphasize elements of The DaVinci Code.
But while Mozart and Rembrandt are helping to increase interest in European travel, Born predicts that the next travel hot spots are India, South America and, especially China because its hosting the 2008 Olympics.
