Swimmers, Surfers ‘Eargasming’ Over Ear Dryer

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One of life’s little annoyances is trying to get water out of your ear, but two audiologists have found a sound solution to the problem.

It sounds eerie but Dr. Hamilton Collins III and his father, Hamilton Collins II, created the DryEar, a blow dryer for the ear that flushes out the water with warm water.

Collins III says while most people think sticking a swab in your ear will get the water out, he says you often can’t get all the water that collects near the eardrum.

Collins says the device was created to help patients with chronic ear infections keep their ear canals dry, but the device is catching on with swimmers and surfers.

The father and son team say they’re working on a second generation of the device that will blow the old one away.
