Scary Jack-O-Lanterns Putting Designs On Halloween Pumpkins

RACINE, Wis. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Traditional scary-looking jack-o-lanterns are likely to squash the competition if a new survey is any indication.

According to the pumpkin heads at PumpkinMasters.com, based on downloads of jack-o-lantern patterns at their website, people are opting for scary gourds this year over harvest fall designs.

Company spokesman Michael Behee says based on more than 10,000 downloads, 63 percent of people will be carving spooky designs, 19 percent are going with kid-friendly styles while another 19 percent prefer Autumn harvest designs.

The top choices are their “Grinning Ghostie” and “Pirate Skull” followed by a giant piece of Brach’s candy corn and finally, an Aztec sun design.
