Argentinean Accent ‘No Problema’ For ‘Love, Inc.’ Actress

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Mastering an Argentinean accent might be a “problema” for some actresses, but it was a labor of love for Ion Overman.

The former L Word cast member plays an Argentinean professional matchmaker in the new UPN sitcom, Love, Inc., and her character spends as much time trying to find a husband for herself as she does for her clients.

But Overman spent a lot of time working on the Argentinean accent which is miles away from the Spanish accents spoken by citizens of Mexico, Spain or Ecuador.

Despite the pronunciation differences, Overman says the accent came easily for her because, she admits, “I’ve been learning accents since I was four.”

Love, Inc. debuts Sept. 22 and Overman is looking forward to watching her character show her Argentinean heritage.

But only to a point. Although the tango is the national dance of Argentina, Overman jokes that if she has to learn it for the show “it won’t be voluntarily.”
