No Water Songs For Robert Earl Keen

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Country singer Robert Earl Keen is hoping to make a big splash at the Americana Music Association Awards ceremony tonight (Sep. 9) in Nashville but Hurricane Katrina may put a damper on it.

Keen will performing at the ceremony and predicts the storm will be a focus, especially because many of the musicians being honored hail from Louisiana.

He says he’d like to do something that would fit the mood but admits, “I don’t have any water songs.”

Despite the somber situation, Keen expects to have a good time at the show because, he admits, “there will be a lot of people I know and like but at these shows there’s always a stage manager trying to hurry things up.”

Keen is currently touring behind his latest release, What I Really Mean.
