Double-Dip Your Wings In Chunky Blue Cheese

BUFFALO, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – This year marks the 41st anniversary of buffalo chicken wings and it’s taken nearly as long to know how to eat the spicy bar staple.

Self-proclaimed “wing king” Drew Cerza says the best wings are the ones “that have a little bite” and leave a “short linger” of heat in the mouth afterwards.

Also, Cerza insists wings should always be dipped in “really chunky blue cheese,” never in ranch dressing and “always be double-dipped no matter what any one says.”

Cerza will be double-dipping all over the place during the fourth annual National Chicken Wing Festival in Buffalo, New York starting today (Sept. 2).

The festival includes events like the Blue Cheese Bowl “Bobbing for Wings” and the Wing Eating Championship where competitive eating champ Sonya Thomas will defend her crown.

Last year, she threw down 161 wings in 12 minutes.

More than 20 tons of the bar appetizer are expected to be consumed during the festival by nearly 80,000 wing-loving folks.
