Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickle-Tinis

CHASKA, Minn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – What’s the perfect drink to wash down a delicacy like Smokey Bacon & Swiss Stuffed Pickles? A Pickle-tini, of course.

That’s the opinion of Jeff Tuttle – spokesman for the Minnesota-based pickle manufacturer M.A. Gedney Company – who says he loves the brine-flavored cocktail.

This and other pickle-y recipes can be found in a new cookbook called Picklicious: 125 Extraordinary Recipes (M.A. Gedney Co.) published in honor of the M.A. Gedney Company’s 125th anniversary.

Highlights from the book include recipes for Dilly Soup, Deep Fried Pickles, Ancho Chili Chocolate Cupcakes, which Tuttle says are “crunchy from the sweet relish,” and Pickle Puffs – baby dills baked in cheddar cheese dough.

Today (Aug. 17) at the pickle company’s 125th Birthday Picklenic, employees will sample several recipes, but they’ll have to wait until after work to try the Pickle- tinis. Tuttle explains, “It’s never good to operate pickle machinery with a martini in your system.”
