President Bush Getting Love From Cardboard Cutout Fans

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – President George W. Bush turns 59 tomorrow (Jul. 6) and while his approval rating may be as low as it’s ever been, he’s getting a lot of love from cardboard cutout fans.

According to Steve Highlund, spokesman for Advanced Graphics – a company that sells life-size cardboard replicas of celebrities – Bush is currently the No. 1 best-seller.

But orders aren’t just coming in from Dubya-lovers. Highlund says many who are buying the six-foot-high cutout of Bush in a business suit are Democrats who have been bringing the cardboard Commander in Chief to parties so their friends “can kick him.”

He says, “It seems the sitting president is always the top seller because so many people either love him or hate him.”

Other popular cardboard replicas this year include Star Wars’ Anakin Skywalker and Chewbacca and 1950s and ‘60s stars, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and James Dean.
