Golf Secrets That Could Make You Look Silly

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you think writing about golf would make you better at the game, guess again.

That’s the word from George Peper, the former editor of Golf Magazine. He spent 25 years at the magazine and says his game didn’t improve one iota, despite having the chance to ask numerous pros about their secrets.

But that hasn’t stopped him from writing an instruction manual, The Secret Of Golf (Workman Publishing), that includes 47 tips he claims can improve anyone’s game.

Some of his tips border on the bizarre – such as putting with a split-handed grip with the right hand eight inches from the putter blade.

Peper knows a guy who made 1000 consecutive four-foot putts using the grip.

There’s also the “no-backswing” putting stroke which Peper says is unorthodox but effective because, as he puts it, “You generate no extra power with your backswing. It just gives you a 50 percent larger chance to screw up.”
