Pop Group Taking A Bite Out Of Obesity

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A teen pop group is adding weight to the fight against obesity.

The quartet called Jump5 released its seventh album The Very Best of Jump5 in March and is now campaigning against obesity by sharing fitness advice.

Band members Lesley Moore, Chris Fedun, and brother and sister Brittany and Brandon Hargest say when fans come up to them at their concerts and ask how they dance and flip so much, they tell the teens to eat their meats and veggies and drink a lot of water.

Moore says, “To do the stuff we do, we have to stay fit and stay healthy.” That means lots of dancing and sports, and they’re encouraging their young fans to follow suit.

While each of them have different tastes in music, they all agree that pop is the best to listen to while at the gym because of its fast tempo.

The group has also come out with the instructional DVD, Start Dancin’ with Jump5, that teaches viewers how to copy their dance moves and they say it can help keep their fans active.
