‘For Crying Out Loud’ Helps Actress Land Role

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – “For crying out loud” is a phrase that usually means something bad – but it adds up to lots of moolah for actress Ashley Tisdale.

The 19-year-old says crying is one of the hardest things an actress can master so she has been practicing making tears well up at the drop of a hat ever since she was 10.

Tisdale figures she can get her tear ducts rolling in about two seconds, and says the talent came in handy recently when she auditioned for a commercial for T-Mobile cell phones featuring Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Although the script called for fake crying, Tisdale asked if she could do it for real and was cast because, in her words, “they were real tears and that’s always funny.”

But Tisdale doesn’t have much reason to cry in real life. She’s enjoying working on her latest series, The Suite Life, a Disney Channel sitcom where she plays what she calls “a smart version of Lucille Ball.”
