Caffeine Convoy: San Diego Starbucks Now Delivers

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Taking a stroll to your local Starbucks may soon be a thing of the past if a new delivery service proves a hit.

At least one San Diego Starbucks in the busy hospital neighborhood of Hillcrest will begin running mochas and lattes to customers in a one city-block radius between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

Customers will phone in their orders and there won’t be any additional cost for the caffeine delivery service.

Store manager Edward Camarillo says it will likely come in handy for emergency room workers who can’t step away from the ER for even a minute. He asks if you were at the hospital “would you want them a minute late?”

Although the service begins April 1, Camarillo says it’s no April fools joke.
