Clowning Around Is Part Of The Job For Ringling Star

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – There’s a lot of clowning around at Ringling Barnum and Bailey Circus – and it’s almost all due to Bello Knock.

Bello is the head clown for Ringling who is entering his fifth year with the circus, and he describes himself as what you get when you put together Jackie Chan and Charlie Chaplin.

It’s in his blood. Bello comes from a family of seven generations of performers. His mother’s side of the family were theater and opera performers, but he went into his father’s line of work as a daredevil.

He also speaks five languages and plays 12 musical instruments.

Some of Bello’s stunts include riding a 4-inch by 6-inch bicycle on the top of a tight rope and skipping rope on a highwire.

On Feb. 1, Bello will be in New York with the circus handing out hot dogs and performing for New Yorkers to launch the new season of Ringling Barnum and Bailey Circus for their “Saving The Day From The Everyday” campaign.
