BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The family of legendary make-up maven Max Factor is making good by selling their stuff.

Today (Mar. 17), a public exhibit of Factor Family treasures is being held by Heritage Auctions in Beverly Hills, California.

In the coming weeks, the fine arts auctioneer will sell the goods on behalf of the Factors to benefit various charities, including the USC/Norris Cancer Center.

Among the items are Dorothy Factor’s 13.75-carat diamond ring, a surprise gift from her husband, Max Factor’s son Sidney Factor.

The pear-shaped ring is estimated to sell for $125,000 to $150,000.

Then there’s the Factor’s 25th wedding anniversary gift to themselves, a set of German silver expected to bring in $40,000.

There are also fine paintings, porcelain, ceramics, and oils on canvas up for grabs, and an array of lady’s jewelry such as watches, rings, whimsical brooches, necklaces, and bracelets.
