Job Candidates Make Outrageous Blunders

CareerBuilder.com surveyed 2,700 hiring managers to find out the outrageous mistakes candidates make in interviews.
One wannabe hire showed up wearing a business suit with flip- flops.
Another applied for an accounting job but admitted he was bad at managing money.
One candidate began reciting poetry in the middle of a Q&A session while another had to run off to get his dog that had gotten loose in the parking lot.
Another gem cited Dungeons and Dragons as an example of teamwork, one person clipped their fingernails during their first impression, and one forward dude asked their interviewer if they wanted to meet for a drink afterwards.
Employers say the most common mistakes candidates make include dressing inappropriately, appearing disinterested, and speaking negatively about their previous job.
A whopping 46 percent answer their cell phone or text during the interview.
