LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) Men are from Pandora, women are from North Carolina.According to a survey by Fandango.com, the nations leading movie-ticketing destination, 39 percent of men want to see Avatar with their dates this Valentines Day weekend (Feb. 13-14).
While guys dream of visiting the alien world of Pandora, 42 percent of women would rather see the romantic flicks Valentines Day or Dear John, from North Carolina novelist Nicholas Sparks.
And ladies will likely get their wish.
Fandango spokesman Harry Medved says men tend to be moviegoing wimps and surrender their tastes to please their ladies on Valentines Day, as 92 percent are willing to let their dates pick the flick.
While 81 percent of women choose the movie, 94 percent of guys pay for it.
Another difference: 32 percent of women consider Nicholas Sparks couple from The Notebook their favorite star-crossed lovers while 20 percent of guys pick the Navi duo from Avatar.
