Professional party planner Marley Majcher says penny-pinching is causing people to be extremely creative with their holiday shindigs.
Instead of having a bash thats fully catered, party hosts are now opting for cheap potlucks, leading to a more eclectic mix of cuisine.
Rather than open bars, hosts are now offering unique, signature cocktails to cut down on massive liquor costs.
Organizers are also going green with their party decorations by using recycled placeholders, plates, and napkins to jazz up a venue.
Locations are being scaled down, but cheap is totally in.
Majcher recently threw a party for a client at an abandoned warehouse which normally wouldve taken tons of money to spruce up.
However, the raw look of the venue was embraced and the party turned out great and affordable.
