Former Miss America Ericka Dunlap and her husband, Brian Kleinschmidt, came in third place on The Amazing Race this past Sunday (Dec. 6).
Dunlap was out to prove that beauty queens can be tough, and surprised everyone – including her own family – with her abilities.
She’s always been “secretly athletic,” and loves running, though her prim looks fool many – except her hubby.
Kleinschmidt has always known he married one tough cookie, and admits Dunlap can get pretty competitive at home.
He explains, “Whenever we play checkers it’s an all- out bloodbath.”
Dunlap credits her competitive spirit to pageantry, although The Amazing Race was more “cutthroat” than any beauty competition.
She’s never been sabotaged by other queens but on the race, sneakiness is all around.
