Adults Have Childhood Flashback

OAKLAND, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A little art mixed with a few cocktails can turn any stressed out adult into a kid again.

The Museum Of Children’s Art (MOCHA) in Oakland, California, is getting adults back in touch with their fingerpainting days through their “Adult Art Nights.”

Tomorrow (Nov. 19) is the “Supreme Build-A-Thon,” where adults are given a mountain of recycled materials to make sculptures while DJs spin tunes and bartenders serve them cocktails.

MOCHA even offers a babysitting service so their kids can stay occupied.

Spokesperson Rae Holzman says the adult art events are a good way for folks to break up their everyday routine and “get back to their childish whimsy.”

By encouraging parents to be creative, Holzman hopes they, in turn, urge their kids to be artistic spirits.

Making art is also a stress reliever. If that doesn’t help grown-ups, she jokes that the drinks on hand should finish the job.
