Losing Weight Not That Heroic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – There’s nothing all that heroic about losing weight.

This past Tuesday (Oct. 13), Mo Dewalt eliminated himself from The Biggest Loser, but he’s still a hero to his family and the students he works with as a youth mentor.

Dewalt came into the reality weight-loss competition at a whopping 355 pounds as a result of his nasty habit for fast food, but has now dropped 80 pounds and become an inspiration to his loved ones.

He says, “My family calls me a hero, and they really think I am. I’m just a man trying to lose weight.”

Though he admits dieting and working out has “been really hard” as a result of ongoing injuries, Dewalt assures he’s “not a hero.”

He may not be comfortable being called Superman by his daughter, but he is happy to be the driving force behind his family getting fit and losing a combined weight of 105 pounds.

The Biggest Loser airs Tuesdays on NBC.
