Graphic Designers Duel For Work

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – These days, landing a graphic design gig can be a real battle.

The Cut&Paste Digital Design Global Championship pits graphic designers from around the world against each other in a double- click duel this Friday (Oct. 16) at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom.

Finalists will stand before a crowd armed with their laptops and creativity and produce a 2D, 3D, or motion design in a timed event they’ve been prepping a week for.

The audience will see the work unfold on big screens projecting every choice and mistake, and event founder John Fiorelli says they’ll be cheering on great ideas and chuckling at lame ones.

Fiorelli likens the event to a high-pressure job interview since participants have to impress judges and potential employers.

Graphic designers in the competition get the opportunity to meet other creative individuals, professionals, and new networks and can land their dream job should they impress on the stage.
