‘Loser’ Steps Up To The Plate

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The latest chubby challenger eliminated from The Biggest Loser is stepping up to the plate, not filling his plate.

This past Tuesday (Oct. 6), 40-year-old Julio Gomez got the boot from the weight-loss show, but has dropped more than 100 pounds since filming.

As a result, Gomez has been able to take a more active role in his daughters’ softball playing, serving as a base coach, helping out at practices, and being able to “show them how to run bases rather than just telling them how to.”

He says, “It’s meant so much to me being able to be more active in their softball. I’ve always been involved, but never took the step to get on the field. I was embarrassed for my girls.”

Gomez attributes his slimmer lifestyle to his hardcore gym regimen and making sure his plate is only partly filled with healthy, home-cooked meals.

The Biggest Loser airs Tuesdays on NBC.
