Mom Is A Facebook Fiend

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If retailers want to influence moms, all they have to do is find them on Facebook.

According to a new Retail Advertising and Marketing Association (RAMA) survey, 60.3 percent of moms with kids at home are likely to use Facebook.

They’re using the social networking website nearly 10 percent more than the average adult.

Moreover, 42.4 percent of moms use MySpace, 16.5 hop on Twitter, and 15.3 percent maintain their own blogs.

Moms are likely to surf the Internet for coupons and deals on household items, so marketers are advised to align themselves with the popular networking sites.

Additionally, moms still like to gossip about retailers and their personal purchases.

About 93.6 percent of mothers regularly seek advice of others before buying a service or product and a staggering 97.2 percent give advice to others about things they’ve purchased.

Many are using their Facebook status to rant or rave about these items or services.
