Witches Can Really Sing

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Oddly enough, witches have voices like angels.

That’s the case on the set of Eastwick, a new TV series loosely based on the novel and film about witches.

According to Eastwick producer Maggie Friedman, her onscreen trio of witches – Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman – are all “phenomenal singers,” which means a musical episode may be in store.

Romijn gushes that crooning on Eastwick is her “fantasy,” while Newman would feel right at home breaking into song.

Newman has grown up singing in jazz and blues bands, which came in handy while filming a scene for the series where she steals the show at a piano bar.

But not all the ladies are bewitched by the idea of a televised musical number.

Though Price considers herself a singer/songwriter, nothing makes her more “nervous” than the possibility of a musical episode.

Eastwick premieres tonight (Sep. 23) on ABC.
