Ben & Jerrys celebrated the legalization of gay marriage in Vermont this week by unveiling Hubby Hubby, a new flavor based on the popular Chubby Hubby.
But the real scoop is that Elton John may have created it.
America Onlines Senior Weird News Correspondent Buck Wolf reports that the singer traveled to Vermont last year and laid the ground work for the new gay flavor.
Wolf says, After the meeting, Ben & Jerrys announced it was releasing a new flavor, Goodbye Yellow Brickle Road, to support Johns AIDS foundation. But my sources tell me a lot more was discussed, including ways to celebrate the states new wedding law.
Hubby Hubby is only available at Ben & Jerrys stores in Vermont, but if its a big success and more states recognize same-sex nuptials the socially progressive flavor may come out of the closet and go national.
