300 G.I. Joes Parachute Into City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It’s not every day that 300 parachuting G.I. Joes descend upon a city.

That’s what’s going down this Friday (Aug. 14) in Kansas City, Missouri, at the 16th Annual International G.I. Joe Convention.

At exactly 10:30 AM, 300 life-like G.I. Joe action figures will take a parachute plunge off a 42-story hotel, soaring more than 500 feet to the ground.

Brian Savage, director of the G.I. Joe Collector’s Club, says the aerial stunt is magnificent and the 12-inch Crimson Guard figures have a hang time of up to a minute and a half.

The parachute plunge is every collector’s dream come true, since many try to pull their own G.I. Joe figurine stunts off hotels around the world, often getting busted by security.

Another highlight of this year’s convention will be an appearance from G.I. JOE: Rise Of The Cobra actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
