Serious Dedication Needed At Lebowski Fest

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Fans of one cult classic need to bring their A game to really be “achievers.”

The Lebowski Fest kicks off a 15-city tour across America this Friday (Jul. 10) in Louisville, Kentucky, where fans of The Big Lebowski, known as “achievers,” gather to chug White Russians and bowl like they do in the flick.

There are also crazy costume contests, and event creator Will Russel expects greatness from participants.

Achievers who dress up as the main characters should not only look like bathrobe-wearing The Dude or leisure suit- sporting Jesus but must also stay in character the whole night, no matter how many White Russians they drink.

Original costumes should also prove achievers’ devotion, like the time two teens brought their dead uncle’s ashes in a coffee can, or when a fan came as a plane crashing into a mountain in reference to a line in the movie.

Though attention to detail is important, no one should cut off a pinky toe like in the movie to win.
