The Putting Lot is an eco-friendly putt-putt course that adorns each of its nine holes using art created in the theme of urban sustainability.
Golfers putt around mini greens made from recycled materials like plastic water bottles, prescription medication bottles, tires, a kiddie pool, and an old, beat up arcade game.
Spokesperson Giti Dadlani says the eco-course is a way to get people talking about environmental issues, recycling, and creating original ideas with these things in mind.
She argues that turning vacant lots into fun attractions can improve neighborhood sustainability because it merges creativity with ecological need.
To pass along their ideas, folks at the Putting Lot will host workshops to teach others how to turn lots in their areas into fun places that benefit Mother Earth.
