Goodness, Gracious, Great Balls Of Plastic

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A ballsy activity from New Zealand has taken over Tennessee and it’s luring folks to the state.

A Zorb is a large, clear, inflated ball that people strap themselves inside before rolling down a hill at 25 mph.

Zorbing has become a favorite pastime for folks in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee – home to the nation’s first zorbing amusement park, Zorb Smoky Mountains.

The park features grass fields with 750-foot drops and zig-zag trails perfect for 60-second zorb rides.

“Zorbonauts” can hop in the plastic balls alone or with friends, and opt to have the Zorb filled with six gallons of water for “hydro-zorbing,” which feels like a moving slip ’n’ slide.

According to park spokesperson Giovanna Arioli, zorbing has made such a splash that folks from all over the world visit the Tennessee town to try the extreme hobby.

She’s heard of folks who’ve actually moved to town just to take up zorbing and says once you’ve tried it, you’re hooked.
