Bloody Re-Enactment Safe For Kids

GIBSLAND, La. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Witnessing the gruesome shooting of two of America’s most infamous bank robbers shouldn’t affect any children psychologically – hopefully.

So says Boots Hinton, spokesperson for the Ambush Museum in Gibsland, Louisiana, the site where bank robbing team Bonnie and Clyde were gunned down by police officers in 1934.

This year is the 75th anniversary of the historic event, and the town is celebrating by holding its annual Bonnie And Clyde Festival this Friday (May 22) and Saturday (May 23), where the vicious shooting will be re-enacted, blood and all, for attendees.

Though bullets will fly and fake blood will spurt, Hinton – who’s own father participated in the ambush – is pretty sure the event won’t leave a mark on anyone’s psyche.

He assures that the re-enactment is very entertaining for everyone, including kids, who get pretty excited seeing the blood and bullets.

As of yet, the festival hasn’t inspired anyone in town to go on a bank robbing escapade like Bonnie And Clyde.
