Little People Hold Big Grudge Against ‘Celebrity Apprentice’

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Little people have a big message for Donald Trump: You can call us dwarves, but never, ever call us midgets.

Little People Of America, a group that represents thousands of short-statured people, has fired off an angry letter to The Donald and producers of Celebrity Apprentice after contestant Melissa Rivers produced a viral video called Jesse James Dirty With Midgets to promote laundry detergent on the show.

Rivers’ video features three dwarves in bright tights scrubbing Jesse James with a hose and brushes to emphasize the product’s slogan, “Small and Mighty!”

What gets LPA spokesman Gary Arnold so upset is that the word midget is used repeatedly, which is a “circus term” that’s “never appropriate.”

The “M-word” harkens back to the days when the only job a little person could get was in a sideshow.

However, little people don’t mind being called “dwarves,” since their medical condition is known as “dwarfism.”
