Thats the advice from Linda Howard, spokesperson for the House Rabbit Society (H.R.S.), who are hoping to save bunnies from ending up in bad homes with their Make It Chocolate campaign.
The H.R.S. in encouraging people to give stuffed or chocolate rabbits as gifts instead of real hoppers since many dont realize how tough it is to raise a rabbit.
Though baby bunnies are cuddly and cute, Howard explains that unspayed teenage bunnies are very temperamental, and will bite, poop, growl, and box at their owners if theyre feeling unhoppy.
Also, an unspayed rabbit will spray all over the house, which can be very gross.
As a result, bunnies often end up neglected, given away to irresponsible homes, or set free which assures theyre run over by a car or eaten by another animal.
