Sizzling Firefighters Get Cooking

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Today (Feb. 3), firefighters from across the country will face off in one seriously sizzling food fight.

The 5th Annual Tabasco Cook & Ladder Competition is taking place in New York City, where 10 firefighters will compete for the title of America’s Hottest Firehouse Cook.

Firefighters dressed in helmets and turnout coats will prepare their favorite firehouse dishes for a panel of expert foodies who will determine the winner.

First place wins a sizzling $10,000 prize, while second place receives $5,000, and third place $2,000.

With firehouse cooks from all across America competing, the food fight will feature an extremely varied menu.

For instance, a firehouse cook from Alamogordo, New Mexico, will dish out something called “Captain’s New Mexico Green Chile Stew,” while another contender from Berlin, New Hampshire, serves up “Deep Dish Reuben Pie.”

Other unique cook-off cuisine includes “Smokey Chipotle Mac-n-Cheese,” “Blazing Flashover Meatloaf,” and “Tabasco Lamb Burger.”
