That’s the idea behind Marc Oromaner’s book, The Myth Of Lost: Solving The Mysteries And Understanding The Wisdom (iUniverse).
According to Oromaner, the baffling series serves a higher purpose: To get people to notice what’s happening in the world around them and how every person is connected.
Oromaner believes the island drama parallels real life, and that the mysteries of Lost may be “subliminal messages.”
His theory is that the island is a “metaphor for life” and the show is a “spiritual journey,” which will one day help answer real-life questions about our existence.
Meanwhile, the show also helps viewers wise up by teaching them problem-solving skills.
Everytime Lost raises another mysterious question, Oromaner says viewers begin searching for clues and analyzing, which opens up their minds.
Additionally, Oromaner says Lost teaches people true patience, since plot questions are rarely answered right away.
